On Tuesday, December 6th, the Addison Northeast Supervisory Union’s Executive Committee accepted the resignation of Superintendent Evelyn Howard effective June 30, 2012.  Ms. Howard will be completing her twelfth year with ANESU school districts of Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, New Haven, Starksboro and Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School at the end of 2011-12 school year.  Her record of service in education includes forty plus years as a teacher, principal, curriculum director and superintendent, primarily serving Vermont schools and communities.  In her letter of resignation, Ms. Howard acknowledged the supervisory union’s talented staff and her confidence in the position of the district for creating and transforming education for 21st century learners.   She expressed her sincere appreciation for the tremendous support she has received in Addison County and the strong administrative team with whom she has had the pleasure to work.  The administrative search process for a new ANESU Superintendent has been initiated with contract start date of July 1, 2012.  The search process will be coordinated by Consultant Raymond Proulx.
